z(1920) Elwood. Showcased by Erin Roy
This old treasure has stolen my heart. He is approximately 9.5 inches tall. He no longer has his eyes and some of his nose thread is missing. All 5 joints move well. He is stuffed with straw throughout and has a none working growler/squeaker. He has felt pads, with tiny holes to his feet and a large portion of his left paw pad missing. He has lost most of his fur, but what I find most interesting is that he had bi-colour mohair. Definitely blond close to the body and then a gorgeous cinnamon colour. I can't even begin to imagine what he must have looked like new! I have thought about restoring him but have decided to leave him as he is...He has so much charm....and he doesn't seem to mind either and looks quite content by the lovely smile on his face.
1920-30 era. Possibly a French bear with this simple nose cord and very large smile. His back is rather straight and the head has an upturn which is similar to Fadap. They began to make Bears in 1925 in the region of Divonne-les-Bains.
