SOLD (1920) Charlie
SOLD A 1920's Early English Chiltern character teddy bear. Charlie is a teddy bear standing at 21" tall from the tips of his toes to the tips of his ears. He is completely wood wool stuffed and five ways jointed. He has been loved, but he is still a sturdy old chap and has managed to retain about 80% of his blond mohair, which is soft and clean. His eyes should be clear glass, with painted backs, but have been replaced. His nose stitching is original. His cotton paw pads are in poor condition and need attention. They have been stitched so that none of his woodwool can escape. His joints are sound but his head joint needs tightening. He is a lovely example of a 1920s Chiltern
