I know this bear is very precious to his owner, the story of how she got him is a heartwarming one and I only wish the soldier who showed so much kindness back in the latter 1920's was around to see how loved his bear still is.

Just to give you a little of his history - I know for a fact that he is at least 85 years old - probably a bit more. He was originally owned by a young man who was then serving in the army (2nd world war). When he heard that children had so few toys, he asked his mother to sell his, so 'Big Ted' arrived in our local village shop and my mother bought him for me for Christmas 1941 when I was 4 years old, I am now 77 (2013).
