SOLD Erris Tara (1953) Label Rafferty £75

Rafferty is a Tara Toys laughing bear from 1953 He has a partial label on his foot, enough to make out 'Made in Republic of Ireland. This bear is featured in Sue Pearsons "A Collectors Guide to bears",1997 p83, also in "Teddy Bears a complete collectors guide" by Sue Pearson in 2006, p74. . He is 15'' tall, mohair, fully jointed.He has plastic eyes. He has an odd nose. His paw pads are all original and good for age condition. At the back of his head is a lever which moves his mouth. He is soft stuffed throughout, has good coverage of hair, very clean condition.
