SOLD Erris Tara (1953) Teddy £125
Working lullaby! This is a lovely old Irish Tara Toys teddy bear circa 1950s.Teddy is made from pale golden mohair and is firmly stuffed with woodwool and kapok. She is fully jointed and she has rexine pads and paws which do show some age-related wear. Teddy no longer has her label but she has the distinctive and original 'Tara' triangular nose and mouth stitching and original amber and black glass eyes. She is fitted with a pull-string music box which plays a lovely lullaby.Teddy is a large and heavy bear measuring 22" tall. She has a good covering of mohair, approximately 90%, with a few areas of thinning on her head and body. She wears a cream lace collar with a little diamante butterfly pin.
