(1920) ISA label Springy Dog Sold £160

’Spring Dog’ an ISA Animated Toys spaniel dog 1920s, with white and black mohair, clear, black and opaque white elliptical eyes, black stitched nose and mouth, springs in legs,  large oval metal label on underside and red leather collar and lead —15 1/2in. (39.5cm.) high (a few small bald spots and slight general wear)

Chad Valley bought Isaacs and Co in 1923 (ISA) who were essentially furniture makers. One of the identifying features are the springs in the animals legs. He retains his ISA label which reads . Patent no. 21458/14 The "ISA" Animated Toys British Made.
