z(1930/40) Bumble. Showcased by Josie Rockett
Bumble is a wonderful Chad Valley clown bear made in the 1930s/40s. He is made from both cream wool for his body and head and brown alpaca for his ears and pom poms! He has his original glass eyes, measures 18 inches long and is soft stuffed with kapok. Wonderfully he still has his original pink nose and mouth stitching . His paws have all been recovered with felt but you can just see underneath them that his original pads are made from felt too. His feet are card lined enabling him to stand. Bumble is such a wonderful character, you can't help but smile every time you look at him. I am unsure if the ruff around his neck is original but he was wearing it when he came to live with us and it certainly looks as though he has had it forever. Lovely boy.
